HELP! BACK IN GERMANY FOR THREE SHOWS!

In News by Help! A Beatles Tribute

HELP! is excited to return to one of our favorite places, the Live Music Hall in Morlenbach, Germany for two shows this Friday and Saturday! The Saturday show will also include a short acoustic set featuring songs that rarely make it into our electric shows. We’ll perform Michelle, Till There Was You, Norwegian Wood and many more. This will be a special one!
Then it’s just a short drive up to Essen to play one of the most unique clubs in Europe, . . . Freakshow. This hidden gem is a a frequent stop for bands on the road. A rock and roll haven like no other in Germany. It’s our pleasure to be invited back. Can’t wait!

Our second show on Saturday is at the Troubadour in Hardenberg, where HELP! will perform a special acoustic set early in the evening, and then perform our usual show of all the classics till they kick us out!

HELP! WELCOMES A NEW BAND MEMBER FROM HOFNER

In News by Help! A Beatles Tribute

HELP! has a new band member. Well, sort of. Bassist Ernie Mendillo just received a new Hofner Cavern Bass as part of his endorsement agreement with the iconic bass manufacturers. The bass is an exact replica of Paul McCartney’s first bass, purchased in Hamburg in 1961. Together with his 1963 counterpart, Ernie now uses both of Paul’s basses in our shows.
“It’s the dream of every bassist who admired The Beatles to play a Hofner, but to have an endorsement deal is beyond my wildest dreams,” says Ernie. Thanks to Nick Wass from Hofner for making this happen! We’re pleased to welcome the Cavern Bass into the band!

HELP! RETURNS FROM LIVERPOOL’S INTERNATIONAL BEATLEWEEK!

In News by Help! A Beatles Tribute

IMG_2836What a week! Nine shows in five days, including two concerts at the famed Cavern Club, helped us make numerous connections to other organizers, bands, and fans from around the world! Over 70 bands played more than10 venues around the clock for seven days, offering different takes on the music of The Beatles. We’re happy to say that we met and saw bands from Brazil, Japan, Peru, Spain, Argentina, Canada and the UK. It was great to see how supportive and friendly band members were, and that we all came to each others’ shows in our free time (which wasn’t much). We’ll be posting more picures and stories in the coming weeks. YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!
